Has anybody ever used a Alpha-Stim Machine for Depression & Anxiety, and if so whats your feedback?

I haven't used Alpha-Stim, but I'm familiar with EEG based treatments of depression and anxiety. Based on the research published for Alpha-Stim, as well as the physiology involved, I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

In addition to not showing long term change in the EEG, most of the research appears to be done by individuals with a considerable financial investment in the technology. Further, the generalized nature of the electrical stimulation (at the earlobes?) makes me doubt the long term effectiveness. That said, ECT uses a similar generalize electrical signal, and does have some results (though through a very different mechanism).

I'd wait for more empirical research to be done before getting this treatment. All of the currently completed research I could find were pilot studies - typically less than 30 participants, with minimal follow up work performed. While the studies suggest some promise, they don't prove the effectiveness of the treatment in any clinically acceptable sense.
