Why does depression do this? |
For those suffering from depression and its' symptoms: Why do you believe social withdrawl takes place? From your own experience, what made you not feel much like communicating from the outside world and how did it affect your relationships? Did it get better when you got help, or did the relationships continue to suffer? Did you feel alone? People's experiences would be much appreciated. When depression escalates and a person becomes consumed with illogical and negative thinking, someone suffering with depression with reason that no one understands their particular situation, problems, or feelings. It is very common for depressed individuals to continue this irrational cycle of thoughts until treatment is sought. feeling very different from everyone else, too tired to communicate, not wanting my own negativeity to bring others down, not wanting to smile and pretend it is all ok, feeling life life is too much and just being alone to rest awhile with give a little break to recharge. I don't have help right now, no health insurance, I just know when I need to withdrawel and when I need to stop letting myself withdrawel. I wouldn't recommend this, ever, but with no help, this is how I cope. No one else would understand. They would just mock you. They wouldn't help, they would only hurt. Even if they said they would help, they were lying. I have felt so alone, but with the medication things are better, but not when i am off my meds... I have still strained relationships, but i dont get outragiously sad about it (most of the time....) |
