What is the cure for depression? |
Ok i'm not personally depressed but i know someone that is so any suggestions for me to help him? There are a multitude of ways on how to cure depression. The only thing that can help someone who is depressed it to seek help from a professional. Your friend needs to see a doctor in order to be evaluated to assess how depressed this person is and then decide what action needs to be taken, ie medication, therapy etc. There is no one "cure" but your friend really needs to talk to a doctor soon. With depression, it's more appropriate to talk about effective treatments, than a cure, because it recurs in around half of cases, so I maintain the treatments, and recommend that others do the same. A multidimensional approach to treating depression without medication follows. All except for no. (7.) are safe to use with medication, but not St. John's wort, because of interactions, and it's sensible to check out anything else first with your doctor. 1.
