Is Depression on the rise with the weak economy?

Are people becoming more depressed
with the raising gas prices, food prices & other living expenses? & wages are not going up to compensate.

Absolutely we feel like soon we will be working to go home and eat and sleep then back to work w/o any leisure time or something! But if you think about it ... we could always live out in the wild and kill animals for food and build our own shelter lol. That a good way of putting it right? Not the end of the world but we like our comforts too much to let them go.

yes, i believe so.. my psychiatrist told me ones too that a lot of people get depressed now adays because of our weak economy..
