If Im 14 and go to a psychiatrist for anxiety and major depression can he recommend something to help me sleep |
Like at night is when i feel MOST depressed i usually lay in bed and think about all the bad things in my life and how bad i am and how everyone is going to die and stuff, it just makes me cry until like 3 in the morning where i finally cry myself to sleep. THIS HAPPENS EVERY NIGHT! is there something he can reccomend for daytime and night time? if so what is it called?? i usually hvae the same feeling in the daytime to but they arent as severe. HELP? Of course he/she will. To begin with when one experiences depression ,the first thing that they should look at is something physical -such as thyroid -usually iodine deficiency- food allergies ,another problem or even a deficiency in serotonin , dopamine or any of the other brain chemicals that might be depleted!! I go to a psychiatrist and im 15. I also go for anxiety and the medicine im on i take at night and it works for 24 hours. Most medicines like that work for 24 hours. It will take a long time before it works. At least 2 weeks. And it might not be the right medicine. Trust me it is worthwaiting and tweaking the medicine because I was ready to go off the medicine becuase it was not working, and he uped it and now i feel 50% better. It really will help. I sometimes have the same problem and mine started when i was 11! It can be pretty annoying =/ i just recently turned 14 like 2 days ago... well i went to a shrink but he helped a little. What i did to fall asleep and forget about everything was listen to music- there was a point in my life where i would cry until 6 am, now i dont do that anymore. Oh something that helped me a little more than music was my puppy he always sleeps with me... you might want to beg for a puppy =] He can do a lot if he thinks you need the help. You can even be sent to a sleep specialist to find out what needs to be done for you to get sleep. You tell him everything and see what he thinks. Stuff can get done when your open and honest about your life. ,I will recommend you to ask your Doctor about "AMBIEN" 10mg. or "LUNESTA", this medications has to be taken before you going to bed and you must not take it during the day or if you know you will drive. please contact your Doctor, You will need a prescription for this medication. There are several anti-depressants that are taken at night because they can help you sleep. However, pills are not a cure, just a band-aid. Therapy in conjunction with any medication is shown to be much more effective and longer-lasting. No matter how bad you see yourself,no matter how you look ,no matter how bad you've done ,God forgives you and loves you just the way you are .Do your best ,and cast your burden on the Lord. Tell your shrink that and ask him he may offer you depression pills. Most common ones are called Xanax. Avoid using too much it could really hurt you. they might not want to give you sleeping pills until the see if the anxiety medication is working. chew on valerian root, he doesnt even need to prescribe it to you. its all natural, and makes you fall asleep. i have same problem, i stare at wall 2 hours before sleeping, fun isnt it? plus im 14 to%#!@%!~ myspace.com/jajonc Isn't it the psychiatrist you should be asking? He'll help with the depression too And you haven't asked him - WHY? get a boyfriend yea ya he/she has to but im not sure what they would give you |
