Terrible love life causing major depression?

I'm only 17, but I've got (at least my mind is set on believing) a horrible love life. No one seems to want to get close to me. I have no problem meeting people and I have plenty of friends, even girls, but they all say I am too ugly for a date. Mabey it might be my friends, but what am I supposed to do, turn my back on them and go throughout the rest of high school as a social hermit? But that's not the issue, I need some help feeling better, because this depressions is stopping me from doing all I used to love. Plus, I know that people pick up on this and it is not attractive.
I need some help with it, I already have a therapist btw.

Hi in your age group right now looks are everything but this will change as you get older. trust me. I was called all the names under the sun when I was younger and now I think I am about average as it comes. When we get older peoples points of view change and looks are less of an issue as they are at your age. You see we learn something as we grow and thats looks are not everything. someone can be the best looking person in the world but have a personality like a goldfish and who wants to be with someone like that. one night be but long term looks really mean very little. Don't let what others say put you off having any kind of life at the end of the day your young and who wants to be tide down to one person at your age. People are more likely to pick up on your lack of confidence then your looks. look inside you and see the real you know that your a nice person and that what they say does not count for nothing. I am glad your seeing a therapist and I hope that in time she/he will be able to make you see that the real things in life is what is in side. older people used to tell me that kind of stuff and I was like what ever now I know its the trust and don't care if someone calls me ugly or not. take care good luck
