How can I help my depression? |
I am 19 years old, was put into a crisis home for my self-injury and bipolar about 3 months ago. now I am on wellbutrin xl which seems to be helping with the mental symptoms of depression, that I can find. BUT I a having trouble with feeling rested after sleep, getting myself out of bed, and feeling motivated. I take thyroid and my level is healthy as far as that is concerned. I am wondering if there are things I can do, non medically... but more of, with myself to try and cure this? Or at least make myself feel like a normal person again? You will be able to sleep better. You'll be better able to meet your day-to-day obligations and take care of yourself (such as caring for your hair, dressing well, eating regularly). You will have more energy. A few strategies you can do: It's easy Just try to eat well eat fruits get some color to your room, make sure you get up stick your contacts in and brush your teeth wash your face with water, ALWAYS EAT BREAKFAST, okay it really helps don't be so gothic get rid of all percings except for the ears and make sure your hair isn't wild and then have a schedual and please get out more there is no cure, unfortunately. but with medication AND talk therapy you can get to the root of your problems and figure out what to do about them. and exercise. don't forget to exercise! I think that you should find the problem(s) to your state at mind and find someone to listen to your story someone who knows what to say. |
