With this depression I have is it best that I stay away from the people and places that are?

making it worse or should I face them? Or should I wait an while till I get it under control more before I start to face them. You see these people live in the same town as me and I am trying to avoid them if I see them out becasue I get nervouse and upset when I see them. And when I get around the places the remind me of the things that caused my depression then the same thing happens. What do you think? Thanks.

These are the people I used to work with and they caused me to loose my job and that is only part of my depression but it really makes it worse to even think about them.

The best thing is to surround yourself with positive, loving, and encouraging people.

Find friends who are supportive and won't judge you because of your illness. REAL friends stick by you (and always do what is in your best interest) regardless of what is going on in your life.

It's easy to be with someone when they are on top of the world, but you find the really genuine people when you are at the bottom of the barrel and they are still right there beside you.

The great thing is, you can choose what kinds of people you want to be around. There are wonderful people out there who will encourage you :)

I think you should avoid it until your ready but you should never stay avoid the situation all together... you should try and help yourself get over it.. talk to a councillor or psychologist and talk out your problem and why your depressed... If you let out whats causing you to be depressed I am sure you will find it much easier to deal with it and move on with your life

I understand how you feel. The best thing is to face your fears and you will feel so much better afterwards. You sound like you are already scaring your self before you even go. So try and think about it as not so scary and just do it and who care what anyone else think. That is why you might get nervous. Try and take deep breaths when you get in these situations. Dont let it control you, you control you.

trial and error is the best way to find out. that is all you can do really.

go some where and if it makes you down then leave. if you think you want to try it again then do it. eventually you will know what you like and dont and will adjust accordingly.

i think you need to get a bit stronger before facing them. you need to feel good about yourself before standing up for yourself. do and go to places you know they arent going to be. hope it all works out for you.XD

I think you should overcome your fears and get out there and live your life. This is all we got.......right here and right now. No guarantees for tomorrow my friend.
