Relapse of depression of just moody?

I was diagnosed with depression around 10 years ago. I took medication for about 7 years and havent taken any pills for the last 3 years, mostly cos i have took steps to change my life, i lived abroard and had a few great years.
Now ive been back in london for the past 2 years, i started a degree last sept, and have so far passed the first year. I still get so down, and just want to cry about everything. But on the outside, i appear as a bubbly person, until i have bad days when my mood can be read like a book and in the words of my current manager i get told to "chill the f**k out". This gets to me more than anything else as i try so hard the rest of the time.
Is it normal to put on a front? will it always be like this?
All i want is to get married and have children, but i have such doubts that'll ever happen and it makes me so sad...

"If major depression hits, there is a 50% chance you'll have a recurrence of depression at least once or twice a year."

Chances are, you're going to have a lifelong mild battle with Depression. There will be more good days than bad, so try not to worry too much. However, you need to know how to effectively handle the bad days so you can get through them as quickly and painlessly as possible. Are you currently in therapy? If not, get yourself back. Talk to your therapist about your reoccurring depressive moods and discuss methods to overcome them. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focused around depression would benefit you at this point. I don't think medication is needed, (unless you feel it is).

You can and will get through this. You've already proved you can. If your feelings persist, make an appointment with a mental health professional.

It is normal to put on a front when you are depressed or anxious, particularly since you have been previously...we do not want others to know how we are really feeling. See your doctor and talk to them about what you are feeling. Yes, depression can return throughout your life, but always know, it can be treated.

Maybe you lack the skills and ability to assert yourself in conflict situations. These arise at work and all over the place! You would probably feel better about yourself if you didn't let other people dismiss you because you're emotional.

Maybe the stress from the degree and being back at home where it all began is bringing back bad memories?
see how things go and if you still feel like this, it would be good to visit your GP.

Good luck

Stress kills. This book really helped me.

I think that by you posing this question on here shows how low you must be feeling and may i say "i feel for you" I found my happy place was when i was dancing to music when alone, i just put on tunes i liked, danced for as long as i could, sat down and rested remembering the fun times. Every one has a happy place, find yours and have as much fun as you can with your > me, myself and I < If you find yourself wanting to cry, ask yourself what i did, i finnaly figured that i was just feeling sorry for myself, when i realised that, i became better, I hope you do too, SOON. good luck and i wish you well.
