Anxiety, stress, depression help please?

I've been going through a lot of changes in the past few months. Mainly good changes but I have a hard time with changes. Last week I became sick and found out that it was a yeast infection. However, until the doctor told me this I had looked online and found all kinds of possible diseases etc. that I could have. I am a major hypochondriac. My body began to have so many symptoms of stuff I'd read. I even seemed to get all the possible side effects from the meds my doc gave me. I try not to think of the things that I worry about or have anxiety about but I still seem to be internally worrying. I often don't feel hungry and when I eat it's like two bites and I'm full. I have body pains that aren't usual. I haven't slept well at night but want to sleep during the day. It's been rough on my new marriage. I'd rather not go to the doctor if I can find a way to control my anxiety/worrying/depression. Any suggestions would be great.

Counseling would be best but I understand that it can be expensive...the best things I do for my anxiety/stress is drive around...but since gas is so high here lately I usually got sit out in my yard & make necklaces out of flowers or play with my dog. If it gets worse I drive over to my parents house & let them be my counslers for the day. Also, praying heals so much of my worries. Peace & God Bless

i dont think this is a good alternative to professional advice, but i feel with you for not wanting to go see a doc... well....
i'd say try to focus on something good? the marriage for example... or a hobby... anything that keeps you busy and makes you feel good

Cigarettes
or
Deap Breathing.

I would suggest telling yourself it's going to be alright...............because it will.

Have you thought of medication for helping OCD? Also, you can do little things to sort of "talk yourself out of things". But you also have to make a decision to BELIEVE what you're telling yourself, and know it's true even if you don't FEEL like it is. It takes time and practice, but you can learn to think differently. You already sound like you Know you probably dont have these things wrong with you. Just keep practicing the thoughts of "i know i'm ok, and this is highly unlikely" and keep denying your other thoughts. There's a method simply called the "Stop" method.. you literally yell it to yourself when you start doing one of these unhealthy behaviors. You obviously will have an overwhelming urge to follow through, but just dont let yourself read that article explaining the symptoms of your possible disorder. JUst dont do it. Continue to deny the monster. :) Like i said, it takes practice.... but fake it til it becomes how you are. Thanks.

Oh, and it also might just help to know that changes and adjustments, whether good or bad, cause stress. Stress affects seratonin, seratonin affects stress.. it's a cycle. If you could find time to exercise if you don't now, that will help. But back to stress, stress will cause any anxiety to sort of happen in clusters. And so back to the exercise idea... you need to somehow reduce your stress for a little while.

Seems like you have a moderate to severe case of anxiety which might be induced by the changes you are experiencing. This isnt uncommon. It is also very likely that the lack of apitite, pains, and insomnia your experiencing might be caused by your anxiety. My advice would be to see a doctor, but since thats not an option for you it might help to spend some time outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, swiming etc... Actually, i highly recomend swimming because it may help with some of the physical pains you have. I find that being in tune with nature has a profound effect on dealing with anxiety and depression. Hope this helps!
