Need some depression help for a girl..? |
My friend, thats a 14 year old female, has depression issues, and now she has turned to drugs. She used to be cold hearted, and I helped her to be sweet and kind.. but now its changed back to the way she was.. and now I might lose her, she told me her sympathy and tears are no more and she doesn't believe in love anymore, she kept saying she was an idiot because she left her guard down and no she is hurt.. and that she must go back to her old ways to protect herself.. but she told me the only way I can help her is to break down the walls to her heart... and I need help.. You are a great friend to want help to assist your friend. Unfortunately, SHE is the one who needs help, especially if she's turned to drugs. If a young person "used to be cold-hearted," something has happened to her to cause her to be that way. The best thing you can do is continue to love your friend and encourage her to find a trustworthy adult to speak with. Ideally, she would get some therapy, but until that happens, maybe she can speak with a school counselor or a religious leader. If you are truly worried about her -- and it sounds like you are -- you should tell your parents and see if they can help. Please don't make this your responsibility -- you're a teenager yourself, I assume....there's just so much you can do. Ultimately, your friend has choices to make. Take care. Does she have family? Because this is alot for you and you're still a child. Can you get a parent? Tell her that shes loved and that you will always love her but this isnt the right path. God is protecting her so let her know that she IS loved and that he will watch over her. Her gaurdian angels will help her too. i went through depression when i was 12. <anxiety> antidepressants Well, first, you can't take responsibility for this young woman's depression. There are, I am sure, many factors that are causing her to feel the way she feels. |
