Chantix? Depression? |
Has anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms? I felt pretty good while on it, but all the side effects it may cause happend AFTER the fact.... Now I'm VERY irritable and moody. I think it really put my dopamine balance out of whack. How long should I wait for this to resolve on its own, how long can I expect this to last? I don't want to end up on an anti-depressant, but if this continues I'll have to. I feel miserable, and I'm being a HUGE bit<h to my ever so patient man. If you've taken Chantix and have stopped, please tell me how it went, I need to know what to expect. That happened to me too. Try getting back on it slowly, then titrating back off of it very slowly. I've been off of it for about a month, and I'm still feeling the side effects, but I quit by just stopping taking them, not the way it should be done. I have been very irritable, moody, lazy, depressed, and sleepless. And your right, it's all about the dopamine balance. Dopamine controls sleep and pleasure, so it's no wonder we are miserable. It's decreases after quitting smoking and chantix. It should work itself out eventually, but if it's interfering with your life then you might want to go ahead and get on an anti depressant to get you out of your rut. Just make sure to titrate off of that really slow so your dopamine levels straighten themselves out. |

When you get depressed, the ptsd symptoms can occur or reoccur more. In your case possibly postpartum depression.
