I have depression....please help?

i have depression and i want to recover it naturally without any physiological treatment PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I have a mild case of depression too (I only recently have come to realize it) but have never had professional help and I'm in my 50's so I'm not going to start now. I can tell you some strategies that have helped me, but please go ahead and get help if you can't beat it by yourself. It's better to give in and get help than live with it. (Mine is a very mild case so it's been fairly easy to work with.)

1) Even if you don't want to, put a smile on your face. I know this sounds silly but studies have proven that it really does work! Also hold your head up and sit/stand up straight. Poor poster and hiding the face is a sign of depression, but you can force your brain in the other direction by acting the part. When a dog is cowering with it's tail between it's legs the Dog Whisperer holds it's tail up and the head automatically comes up too and the dog actually relaxes! It's kind of the same principal.
2) Turn around and help someone else. There is nothing that will make you feel better in this world than giving help to someone else. It doesn't matter how big or small the help is, from helping an old lady across the street to just writing encouragement to others here on answers.
3) Try to eat healthy and exercise. It has been shown that exercising releases "feel good" chemicals into the brain.

Talk out your problems. Find a trusted therapist, social worker, etc to talk to. I know you don't want to go on any medication. My father is bipolar and is on meds but the meds have been lowered over the last year as he found meditation, exercise and talking to a therapist very helpful. He found focusing on his goals and on things he loves beneficial in his recovery. I know it can be very tough right now but please find someone you can trust to help you through your depression. Good luck!

My mom had the same problem. She was severely depressed for years, and nothing was helping her. I was frustrated with it until someone told me this: "Your mind is the world's strongest magnet. It attracts, and can immitate, anything it thinks of." To get out of depression, don't think about it, think of everything positive. And the fact that you acknowledged it is a great first step. And if all else fails, bring it to Christ. Good luck!

Start keeping a diary to talk about your feelings, and/or confide in a friend.
Exercise. Walking and riding a bike will help.
Eat right. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and foods that will give you energy, rather than
Smile, even if you don't want to.
If you feel like self-harming, take your anger out on a pillow, or if you have a cutting addiction, draw on your wrists with magic marker.
Think about all you have going for you: make a list of all the good things in your life.
Go out and meet people. Make friends.

Remember that it's very important and if you still feel severely depressed, it's time to get help. You don't have to do this alone.

You are going to have to train your mind. You are going to have to exercise alot. You are going to have to force yourself to do things you don't want to do. There are going to be days that you aren't wanting to get out of bed but you are going to have to. It's a hard road to go down and only the strong can accessed. I wish you well.

Thats hard man. You should talk to people about whats on you mind. I think you should start a blog and just keep posting. Do it for you and not really for the public. Eventually you will probably get to the heart of your depression and you will be able to fix it

exept jesus into your heart , live for him, and he will help you, you will have no more depression, only joy in christ!! :) thats my opinion..im just sayin .

Go site seeing draw something watch a comedy!
Go bowling or see some friends and do your favorite sport!
Try doing something you've always wanted to!
By the way, Nice hair on your avatar! =D

Pray to Jesus Christ. Read the Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale, it will change your life for the better. God Bless You
