hmm... you feel tired a lot (or restless), you either sleep too much or too little, your apetite increases or decreases, you feel down most of the time, small things can upset you, sometimes you can't concentrate and you lose interest in things you used to enjoy... you might feel like you're not as talkative as you used to be and that it's harder to make yourself do things...you don't feel like spending time with your friends as much as you used to... You lose interest in sex...
and that's just the basic signs...

if you think you're depressed - maybe just mention it to your regular doctor? He/she'll know what to do...

This is rather serious... (read the website from the source for more info... please)
-Sadness or hopelessness.
-Loss of interest in or pleasure from most daily activities.
-Losing or gaining weight because of changes in appetite.
-Sleeping too much or not enough.
-Feeling restless and unable to sit still, or feeling that moving takes a great effort.
-Feeling tired all the time.
-Feeling unworthy or guilty without an obvious reason.
-Having problems concentrating, remembering, or making decisions.
-Thinking often about death or suicide.

If you have at least five of these symptoms for 2 weeks or longer, and one of the symptoms is either sadness or loss of interest, you may be diagnosed with major depression that needs treatment. Even if you have fewer than five symptoms, you may still be depressed and need treatment.

If you have 2 to 4 symptoms for a period of at least 2 years (1 year for a child), you may have a long-term form of depression called dysthymic disorder (dysthymia).3

Many women experience mood changes before menstruation. Physical and emotional premenstrual symptoms that interfere with relationships or responsibilities are known as premenstrual syndrome (PMS). However, women who have emotional and physical premenstrual symptoms that seriously interfere with daily life may have a type of depression known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). For more information see the topic Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS).

i was diagnosed with depression and put on medication. its different for everyone, some get certain sometimes, some dont. sometimes its just something youre going through, sometimes youre born with depression. what the people have said above me are symptoms you may have and you may even feel different things. you need find a psychatrist or a counseler to help. if you have health insurance you can find a doctor that way. they may prescribe you medication or just be able to help talk you through it. dont worry, there is a way to get through it and get better. talking to eople helps, exercising, eating right, getting sun. theres alot you can do.

good luck.
