Depression Pills Exetera?

i am going to be seeing a doctor about getting help for my deprssion
like medication and stuff
so i was wondering for anyone who has had to take them
what ur opinion on them was
did it help?

I have been on several different antidepressants over the past 9 years, in many different combinations. I find they work for me for a period of a few years and then I have to switch to a new med because they tend to start to lose their effectiveness. However, as the first poster noted people react differently.

For me, Paxil was useless, and Effexor and Celexa were helpful. Now I take a cocktail of several meds including Cymbalta, Remeron and Buspirione for depression. They seem to work really well right now.

Hope this helps.

i have never taken medication for depression and i wouldn't recommend it either. i do know that they will just make you feel worse than you would feel already. i'm saying this because i don't believe in medicine to treat life's ups and downs. however, i'm not going to force my views on you though. i know people who have taken meds and they say that it causes them to think about suicide more because the meds don't work. also, your body will depend more and more on medication to keep it going.

I'm on Celexa. I haven't experienced any bad symptoms or anything.. but I've noticed that if I forget to take it I feel yucky.. But other than that it's great. Of course everyone's different and Celexa might not work for you..

Good luck sweetie,
Bethany
