PCOS+Depression+Anxiety? |
I have PCOS and I was just wondering if these things could be part of it? I have a gyno apt. soon should I talk to her about this? Yes! I have PCOS also, and most of the time I am just miserable. I wake up depressed some mornings and just can't get back into a good mood. It probably has something to do with the symptoms of this awful syndrome (which I find completely unbearable). The hormonal unbalance has made me crazy most of the time. I would definately talk to your gyno about PCOS, but I also recommend talking to a reproductive endocrinologist, as they specialize in hormones/insulin issues. Good Luck with this issue! Yes, absolutely! Hormones have a large effect on our moods. Hormones don't just affect our genitals, but they also act as neurotransmitters. Unfortunately, these effects are poorly understood at present. I would talk to your gyn about this, but if you want your mood stuff treated, it's best to go to a psychiatrist, who may prescribe anti-depressants. Or, alternately, your gyn may prescribe some PCOS treatment, or birth control pill, that may help. Only try one thing at a time, because otherwise, it's too difficult to see what effect each one has on you. I have all 3 as well and while I am not sure that depression and anxiety have anything to do with pcos, there is no harm in asking your gyno about it. ok they say i have pcos but i heard alot of good storys about ...vitex....look it up please and tell how works for you ive been taking it for 1month and i feel alot better... |
