Cymbalta & Anxiety/Depression (10 pts)?

I have recently been diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression and prescribed cymbalta.
Has anyone taken this? Has it helped you?
What side effects did you experience?
I've read that your anxiety can increase in the first few days...is that true? I am just concerned because I've been having a rough few days and I just started the medication and I don't want it to exacerbate my depression.

Thanks

I have anxiety and depression, and am on Cymbalta as well. The first week I started it, it increased my anxiety a lot. I even started to worry so much about something I couldn't breathe(was hyperventilating). I've had no side effects except for a little drowsiness. Anxiety is a little better second week in, it's a good drug and good luck to you in getting better.
