My depression is getting worse...Help? |
I thought I had my depression under control, I thought I was actually getting happy, which was weird after a couple years of straight depression. I was on Lexapro, but that proved to make it worse and I am not sure about trying other medication. Should I try other medications? What should I do? i would recommend that you stay off meds for a little while . the best thing to do is get out of the house (beach, bowling alley, the movies, etc.) and spend time with those that make you the happiest. this can do wonders for you; if all else fails talk to your doctor who prescribed lexapro to you and ask for other alternatives due to its ineffectiveness. hope i helped you a little; God bless. Hey, In depression only medication wont help you permanently. With medication you need to do some exercise to make your health strong so that you can overcome inertia. I'm not sure what your specific condition is but understanding that can be really helpful. I personally have Dysthymia which is a chemical imbalance which has to be treated with meds. I was on Lexapro and didn't like it one bit. One thing the doctors often leave out is that some of the side effects are worse than the original condition. Talk to your doctor about changing your medication and/or dosage. Good luck! Go to a doctor for some help. If the medication you took ade it worse, then you should switch to a new one. It is important that your brain remains as healthy as it can be. But if there are peoblems leading to your depression, tackle those first, because it is important to deal with those things. Have a good day. Drugs supress symptoms but do not make it better. Take the popular drug alcohol. It relaxes you and cures all of your problems until you become sober. But if you are drunk all the time. See site below to really cure it, not drug you stupid so it is like you are drunk all the time. breath in and out and think there are alot of things to be sad about be real with your self do you want to be sad all the time or happy grow up stop feeling sorry for your self You ask your doctor about your drugs. If you can not get help from your doctor; find another doctor. |
