Dealing with manic depression?

I have been with this girl who suffers terribly from manic depression. She gets very irritated easily and totally takes it out on me. I care alot about her and I am pretty sure she does for me as well though I am not sure. She always calls me when she needs moral support. Is it the disease that makes her angry and snappy and take it out on me or is she trying to push me away?

well I will say this she met my family so if she wanted to push me away then why would she have done that step?

Satans might be correct in this. I speak from a derth of experience; I've been in a relationship with a manic/depressant for the past three and a half years.

Very often, she will lash out at me, and even pick petty fights with me. However, she will often tell me that these fits are mostly because she thinks she's "F*cked up", and she doesn't want me to have to deal with her problems. She constantly tries to push me away, but she does it because she feels bad. She feels bad because she thinks she's ruining my life.

So the answer I'm going to give you is both. The disease is most definately talking, but she also wants to push you away. It's at this juncture you have to make a decision. Do you love her more than life itself? Do you love her enough to cling to her when everything else in your life is going so wrong? Is she very important to you?

If you answered like I have consistantly answered, then you will find that you love this poor, tortured soul more than life itself, and you want to be there for every inch of her heartache.

Not part of the answer, but if you have the patience for a manic/depressant, let me tell you that the road ahead will be difficult, but she will love and appreciate you more than anything anybody could ever ask for. They're worth every second of your time. The girl I love, for example, has absolutely zero interest in anybody else, because of the love and compassion I've always been there to provide. She is the most loyal person I've ever met, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Actually, she might be trying to be push you away.

Bipolar disorder is very hard to deal with, and perhaps she doesn't want you to have to deal with all of the drama that comes with that. Sometimes she just needs time to herself. If you truly want to be with her, sit her down and tell her that you accept her and you will support her no matter what and she doesn't need to be afraid anymore.

i have just been told i have manic depression and now iam takin medication 4 it, and like ur girlfriend i get very angry and snappy at people and do take it out on them so its not u it is the disease but if u are concerned i wud talk 2 her and ask her if u are worried its u ,but a side affect of manic depresion is the anger and things so plz dnt worry 2 much

If she is calling you for support then she isn't trying to push you away. She needs your help. Be there for her and try talking to her about taking things out on other things. Yall should do some yoga together....

Just be careful you dont pick up those vibes. If she is emotionaly abusive to you all the time then run bro and don't look back.

its okay ,dont fret !! things could have been much WORSE , believe me.

Want to try something DIFFERENT ???
just do the following RIGHT NOW ;

1--chant OM (OM as in HOME but without the 'H')repeatedly, forget everything just do it NOW !!!!!!!
doing this for 5-10 mins will give a sense of power within you!!!

if you find this useful let me know ,i will tell you a more stronger method.

note: women durimg their periods are not to chant OM but they can chant HARI

this i say to you on basis of teachings of 'param pujya ASARAMJI bapu'
