Does anyone know of any free/low income therapy(depression/anxiety) available in Dallas Fort Worth,Tx area?

i've been dealing with depression/anxiety since i was 12yrs old and can't afford it now. I'ts too much to do it on my own now

I don't have insurance by the way.

Ok, I'm here to help you as I'm a sufferer of panic attacks for 12 years.

The reason why you have the anxiety for so many mornings is because you just kept on thinking about it. My site has given a few tips on breaking the pattern but I will give you a few new ones.

You can try hypnosis but day-dreaming is the best. I want you to go to a quiet place/area which you're comfortable. Lie in a comfortable position and visualize. Imagine you're in the place you always love to be (a warm tropical island with the beautiful clean ocean - you're able to see beautiful fishes swimming). Imagine you're with your love-one, holding hands and walking on the shores of the ocean. Your feet feels the warm crispy sands with every step you take; you hear coconut trees swaying peacefully; your love-one holds you on the back of your neck and caresses you. Imagine very deeply and make it feel so real. You can further visualize on how you want it... sipping champagne as you stare at the end of the horizon of the ocean...

Once you feel relaxed, imagine how life would be so beautiful if you're right there now. Why not set that as a goal? Work for it - everything is possible. What man has made is possible to attain!

I wish you all the best, remember - the human mind is a powerful tool. Don't let anxiety take over it, YOU must take control over it.

ADDED:
Hi, I have added more information on dealing with anxiety and I hope it will help you. Please visit my blog to learn more. And I will appreciate it if you can do a "simple kindness" there as a token of appreciation =)

Check out the SAMHSA website they list centers for mental health by state and city. I saw several for MetroCare in Dallas -- unfortunately for mental health, unlike substance abuse, they don't list the insurance types taken -- or if sliding scale, so you would need to call the places. Just call and ask these places if they take sliding scale.

This is the web link for Texas:

Hope it helps, if someone doesn't know of a place you can go.

Not knowing the area real well...I did a search on Dallas Fort Worth, sliding scale and counseling at Google and looked at some of what came up and the only one that looked promising to me is this one:

Our online counseling is offered at a rate of $20.00 per email question.

APPOINTMENTS
To make an appointment, simply telephone our office at (817) 534-2818. A counselor will either speak with you directly or call you back within a reasonable time to schedule an appointment as quickly as possible. Hope the additional info helps some.
