Is there any way to get depression meds...?

without going to the psychologist? I work full time and have two babies. I don't have time to sit in an office and pay someone to not listen to me, just for a prescription.

Psychologists can't prescribe medication. You have to go to a psychiatrist. My appointments with my psychiatrist last anywhere from 10-45 minutes depending on how much I decide to talk about.

I hate to burst your bubble, but depression meds are not miracle pills by any means. Scientific experiments have shown that cognitive therapy is much more effective than meds. In addition, many depression meds are currently being reviewed to determine whether they are actually effective in helping depression.

Also, psychologists don't just sit there and "not listen"....they suggest different ways for your to cope with your problems, which sounds like it may help your situation immensely.

there are GP's who will give out those prescriptions, but it still involves that darn trip to the office! i feel for ya, i have 3 age 4 and under, and i had to find docs that work evenings.

I think you have to go to the doctor to get meds for depression, though I don't think you have to go into therapy.

A psychologist cannot prescribe medication. I believe you are thinking of a psychiatrist, who can. If you are only talking about anti-depressants, though, your regular doctor can prescribe them, and should give you enough refills so you don't have to go once a month.
You are going to HAVE to go to a doctor, but you don't have to sit through therapy sessions for depression.
