How do we get over depression?

i had to have my womb removed due to complications in pregnancy.was hoping for more kids to come by but was really depressed after this happened.i dont feel like i am a complete woman anymore.would cry before sleeping sometimes and feel down at certain time.just want to get over this feeling of "loss".its been 8months since this happened and im still having negative feelings and thoughts.

You may be having a combination of post partum depression and just depression. I suggest that you seek mental health care and take some anti-depressants that will help you feel better and then deal with your tremendous loss.
You are also going through the steps of greiving. You've just lost a part of your body, and you feel disfigured and defeminized. It's still bothering you after all this time, so yes, help sounds like the right thing to do.
Getting over depression can take a very long time without help. Years and years- some people never get over it.
If you have kids, or even just one kid, then you need to get some help so you can be an attentive parent, who enjoys every little minute of their childhood/s. It would be your gift to them, to have an actively interested and happy mom.

Go to a grieving session, go talk to someone, or you can talk to your doc to get some meds. But for sure the best way to get over this and it off your chest is talk with someone. I am extreamly sorry for your loss I can understand how you feel. If you want more kids I suggest adopting because those cute little kids need someplace to call home and not be with foster parents or a childrens home. Take care and the best of courage to you!

I had to have a hysterectomy at 18. So, I totally know what you are going through. I am 24 now and it is still hard for me to think about. I don't have kids. I don't know if it ever gets easier.
