How do i help myself with my depression?

im going on vacation very soon and i don't want it to be ruined by my sad moods, mood swings and etc. what can i do to make it better for myself?
and preferably i wouldnt like a recommendation to go to my doctor because i already did and it didnt help.
thanks.

Try to schedule some with fun activities to keep yourself reasonable busy. It's a lot harder for those sad feelings to come crashing in when you're engaged in activity.
Sleep is important too. While you want to get adequate sleep, you don't want to over-sleep either.
And don't be disappointed if your vacation doesn't turn out exactly the way you had pictured -- it rarely does, and it's not your fault. Just go with the flow...you'll be alright.

just relax. calm urself from watever stressing you out, or if u like to deal with things then try and find whats causing your mood swing and deal with it. i always say, it not easy to give advice, because you can't relate to the person plus not everything works.
Just do what makes you happy and keep on doing it to please yourself.

have fun on ur vacation!

what's causing your depression? try to get rid of your sad moods and mood swings on your vacation. think happy thoughts and are you going with someone or are you going by yourself? if you're going with someone, try to spend more time with them and try to see if they can cheer you up.

Talking to somebody that has been there helps,it does take a long time and the answers don't always kick in straightaway.Getting out and doing things, like a holiday,. takes you away from everyday problems. My profile is open.
