Could the dark circles be caused by my depression?

could the half looking dark places under my eyes be caused by my depression? im a 13yo girl who cuts.(no im not emo the slitest bit) my eyes also look kind of red around the outside on my lids almost 24/7. but i thought that mite be from the crying or stress.

When people are depressed it definitely is possible to cause dark circles i believe.

Most of it is genetic. I have them to. Just get lots of sleep, and try not be stressed to much. I also have heard that when you cry a lot under eye circles appear darker. Not sure if it's true tho. Also drink plenty of water. Getting a bit of color in your face as well as putting cold spoons under eyes may help. Get ShiSeido Benefiance Revitalizing Cream. Mostly the circles are hereditary. Can you see them in parents or grandparents. They do get pronounced by crying. Sleeping too much or not enuf can darken them. $Millions are spent each year for cosmetics that "hide" the circles so you understand that everyone experiences this. Of course, the makeup fools no one.
When you get old, the fatty deposits grow under your eyes and the area looks especially bad.
