Does anyone know the statistics on how Cesarean birth affects postpartum depression?

I am curious if women who deliver by Cesarean have a higher percentage of postpartum depression?

I had a C-section (unexpected AND unnecessary), and I had no PPD or even the baby blues. I did, however, suffer from PTSD from being robbed of the chance of labor, the way I was treated by the hospital and my doctor, and not being allowed to see my daughter for 12 hours despite her perfect health!!!!!!!!!!! :(

According to the article "Cesarean section and postpartum depression...":

"Of the 24 studies that have examined the association between cesarean section and postpartum depression, five found a significant adverse association, 15 found no significant association, and four found mixed results. With only one exception, methodologically superior studies found either no significant association or mixed evidence for an association between cesarean section and postpartum depression...A link between cesarean section and postpartum depression has not been established."

i have no statistics only personal experience. i have delivered both by vaginal and cesarean and had no problems with post partum depression
