Living with someone who suffers from depression?? |
before i met my boyfriend he suffered from depression.. he wasnt working , was hanging around with lads who were no good for him and basically leading a lifestyle he should not of been.. As hard as it seams there is nothing that you can do for your boyfriend except be there for him. my sister had it, and she still has mood swings and she has latley come off he tablets. It's a difficult thing to live with a person suffering from depression. The symptoms of depression should persist for at least 2 weeks before a doctor will treat him for it, fyi. Sorry, I don't know what else to tell you. Just continue doing what you've been doing, listen to each other, try to have as much fun together as possible. Firstly the only thing you can do is ensure that they are receiving treatment for their depression and that they are taking their medication. But you dont want to come off acting like his mother. He has to take some responsibility for this condition too. |
