I'm having difficulty focusing my eyes/concentrating with depression. Anyone else experience this? |
When I had this issue about 3 years ago, my doctor put me on lexapro. I also had the other "classic" symptoms of depression, including hopelessness, inability to concentrate, loss of love for everything, etc. I was doing great for 3 yrs. on lexapro, and had weaned myself off for the most part just recently. After 2 weeks of going off lexapro though, I got the same symptoms that I had before...Not being able to "see" things. It's not that my vision is bad, it's just that I can't seem to ignore the peripheral stuff...my eyes just wander wander wander...It makes me feel like my eyes aren't focusing or something...It's not that I can't see straight, it's just...does anyone understand what I'm talking about here? I am back on the lexapro and things are getting a little better, but the focusing this is still hard. It went away while on lexapro, but it took a while. Yes! I'm not sure if my focus was being negatively affected when I was off or on it, I don't remember, but I definitely noticed the same exact thing. I especially recognized it when I was reading music when I'd be playing in my orchestra. It'd be so hard for me to play since I was having trouble processing the music. It was just as you described, like I could see, but it was just weird, hard to explain. So, yes solidarity for you : ) Yeah, for sure I am experiencing that. It makes life really horrible. I have Candida/Yeast infection and that is supposed to be one of the symptoms. As is depression. Therefore I'm not taking any drugs for it. I'm just trying to learn how to cure the Candida by eliminating lots of things from my diet and taking natural remedies and therapies. well i have depression and i get this sometimes when i'm a tad depersonalised or when i have been doing something for too long or when i am really really down. not sure if that's the same thing as yours but thought i'd say something and i have never been on lexapro soo =] |
