I have symptoms of atypical depression, what should I do?

Any suggestion would be great, a lot of things in my life are suffering because of it...

Atypical depression is hard because a lot of the time most of the standard drugs like SSRIs don't help (some people they do though). Sometimes anti-seizure meds like mood stabilizers can help--if you are asking about meds. Talk to your doctor.

Personally I have gotten a lot more results from lifestyle changes and talk/behavioral therapy (like CBT). Really start looking at your sleep, eating, and exercise patterns along with the amount of sun exposure. Look at good days and bad days and notice what life situations are different. Write lists on what works to keep things better (maybe calling a friend or go for a walk) and what should be avoided. This is all where the therapist comes in. Plus a lot of people with depression internalize the outside stress and having someone to talk to is huge.

Anyway, I hope you can find relief before things get worse.

You should seek the help of a counselor and a psychiatrist. They can put you on a drug and therapy regimen that will get you back to enjoying life fairly quickly. The longer you wait, the harder it will be. Best wishes.
