What is the main cause of depression thinking, mental disease or any disorder?

What is the main cause of depression thinking, mental disease or any disorder?

1) - Be thankful for what you have, don't be upset over what you don't have.

2) - Don't worry about conformity.

Why do you ask? To help yourself, a friend, a family member?

There is no main cause. There are several reasons that mental health proffessionals know about. Trauma, poverty, neglect, abuse, genetics are a few that come to mind. But people have mental disorders where a cause is not found. The problem maybe can be pinpointed and hopefully treated successfully. Many issues of the brain are still left undiscovered. If you hurt your head in an accident, that can trigger mental/emotional episodes.

I don't know if I helped answer your question. If you have any particular problem you want to solve, just ask. I'm sure you will be led toward the right path.

As a counselor, I have experience in working on these issues. Mental disorders have a variety of causes - genetics, changes in brain chemistry, environment (like childhood, family, trauma, abuse, stresses, etc.) - depending on what the disorder is.

Family History, Personal History (they way you were raised),Chemical Imbalance, Drug and alcohol usage, past and present. And current issues going on in your life.

Problems with Serotonin or Dopamine, which are brain chemicals.

Most of the time? Hormone and chemical imbalances.
