What more can i do for Anxiety and Depression?

I am already on Lexapro and Clonopan but i am still having panic attacks and have all the symptoms of depression still

Pills only mask the deeper problem, which is that we all try to find happiness in things/people that cannot make us happy. We think a new boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse will make us happy. We think that a new car, new clothes, new music will make us happy. We think that drugs, alcohol or sex will make us happy.

When we realize that none of these things work, we get depressed because we expected them to work. Then we freak out (panic attacks) because we feel that nothing will make us happy, and that is a really scary thought. We are uncertain about if we can make it in the world, if we can pay our bills, if we will even have our jobs. Then there are larger problems like global warming, wars, terrorism, the economy, gangs, etc...

Drug companies know that we are all miserable, so they develop and sell expensive drugs to soothe us so we can live with it. But the drugs don't fix it, because the problem is not in our minds, it is that we live in a scary world. Anxiety is your body's natural reaction to dealing with scary outside stimuli. Depression is the down feeling that you feel when you get in touch with reality and figure out that life is not easy or fair like we all expected it to be.

So basically, drugs are only going to numb the symptoms. The solution is getting in touch with (and learning to be ok with) reality...the way the world really is vs. the way Hollywood and Television have hypnotized us into believing.

Watch "Fight Club" the movie. It's actually a great movie that addresses people who are just messed up and how they deal with and escape from the hypnotism and spells that society has over us.

I suffer from anxiety myself, but my medication and remedies help me out.

I drink kava most of the time for my anxiety. I am very afraid of becoming addicted to my medications, so I only use it for those extreme situations. Kava is awesome in my opinion! You can't get addicted or build up a tolerance. I blocks those anxious receptors in your brain. If you're anything like me, it is late at night when you're thinking too much that you really need the help. The great thing about kava is that it can help get you to sleep.

Go to an area health food store or to your library and look up depression remedys. I know that oats are a natural remedy for depression, and i try to keep oatmeal cookies and cheerios in the house for when my pills dont work . I'm sure there are other foods out there for it too

OMG. You poor thing!
Lexapro really helped me, but comming off of it was total hell... in less than a week, I was crying and panicking..I was a mess.
Clonazapam is not helping you? That was my life saver. The the dr took me off it, last summer and that was weeks or horror.

I am happy I am not on either one, now. But I am looking into herbal formulas, like passion flower, Kava kava, 5htp, and Valerian.

You can try with always bring sweet or candy , when you feel anxiety, put one candy in your mouth, something sweet can make you more relax, so you will not having panic attack . Choose candy that you really like , do not worry will work

You may be suffering from bipolar. Support groups will help. Here is a useful article.
