Difference between minor depression and teenage hormones?

There may not actually be a difference in your case. If you feel that you are depressed and you also happen to be a teenager it doesn't mean you have to choose between the two..it could be both. However, in my experience, hormone tend to make people grumpy and irritated and maybe as a result, a little unhappy. Depression on the other hand, makes you feel very much at a loss with the world and you may find it hard to get up and do your normal things each day, or the enjoyment may have gone out of the things you usually do. However, remember that your body is going through many changes at the moment and it is natural to feel a little down because everything you know is changing.
My advice to you would be to excercise. Exercise releases a hormone which produces happy feelings and feelings of well being. When you are active, you are also less likely to sit around pondering things. Another piece of advice is to eat healthy foods. I know it is easier said than done, but you would not believe the impact on your general wellbeing a bad diet has. Finally, try, hard as it may be, to think positively. It's a bit like the "smile and the world smiles with you" ethos. Positivity is infectious.
