Would a 12 year old girl diagnosed with depression, anxiety and schizophrenia be able to be prescribed xanax?

or is 12 too young?

this girl is NOT little. she's VERY mature and doesnt seem or look anything like a 12 year old.

You can safely be prescribed Xanax but with any anti-depressant and those under 21 years of age who are depressant they or you have to be watched carefully for any worsening symptoms of depression especially suicidal feelings. This you would want to tell you parents about immediately. Don't let anybody tell you not to take medications for these serious diseases as they are like diabetes or heart disease and require medication. There are no natural cures.I am sorry that you or a loved one is suffering. But the right medications can change your life for the better. The anti-anxiety medications will be of immense help but you can only take them at there prescribed dosage and never abruptly stop taking an anti-depressant or an anti-anxiety medication. Stopping the anti-depressant without your doctors help will cause a severe depression. And anybody who stops abruptly on their own taking anti-anxiety medications without help from your doctor will have withdrawal symptoms. You will not have these symtoms if you follow your doctor's orders. These are life changing medications that will give you a life and a much better one than while suffering the symptoms of the diseases

Xanax is a strong narcotic that is addictive and dangerous..giving that to a 12 year old in my opinion would be child abuse! I do not feel it is safe for an adult little much an child! I had THEE WORST cases of anxiety attacks and I thought I was going to die!

I would think so, Xanax is very addictive there's other medication on the market But only a Professional Doctor on that field would be able to tell you, the same with prozac.

yes the drug is too strong for small bodies
