Any long term exstacy users? Have you seen any long term effects (depression, anxiety, etc.)?

Ecstasy side effects, including confusion, depression, sleep problems, drug craving, severe anxiety, and paranoia - during and sometimes weeks after taking Ecstasy.

The side effects of long-term ecstasy use are just beginning to undergo scientific analysis. In 1998, the National Institute of Mental Health conducted a study of a small group of habitual ecstasy users who were abstaining from use. The study revealed that the abstinent users suffered damage to the neurons in the brain that transmit serotonin, an important biochemical involved in a variety of critical functions including learning, sleep, and integration of emotion. The results of the study indicate that recreational ecstasy users may be at risk of developing permanent brain damage that may manifest itself in depression, anxiety, memory loss, and other neuropsychotic disorders.
If memory serves, from what I've heard mentioned about it by licensed practicioners (MDs, etc), the most serious long-term effect is death...from one tablet, whether the first time used, or the thousandth time used. It appears to be a simple non-cumulative probability...and that is for pharmacudical grade, let alone the street crap most users have access to.

Before you ask, no never have, never will. If I want to lower my inhibitions, I'll take a couple drinks.
