From the DSM-IV perspective, what are the differntial diagnosis' for childhood depression?

according to the DSM-IV major depressive disorder can be diagnosed in children. I have the DSM in front of me. The only difference with the symptoms between children and adults is that sometimes in children their mood may be irritable instead of sad. Source(s): DSM IV
Sorry, you've asked this 4 times now and no one knows the answer. You need to do some in depth research on this. Have no clue about DSM-IV perspective. The only things that come up online are sites/articles about childhood depression. I guess you can start there. If that's not what you are looking for, you should go to a medical library.
