Has anyone ever taken Xanax XR (extended release)? Did it help with depression?

Has anyone ever taken Xanax XR (extended release)? Did it help with depression?

I have. I wouldnt say it helped with depression. But it helped with the extreme ups / downs. If you are having a really bad day, that is when you take these. Not daily.
Believe me the only cure 4 depression is S U I C I D E . Just try it

Xanax was my best friend at one time, but only because it helped me sleep. As far as depression, I was not relieved from being depressed when I took it, but if I stayed awake I would get very emotional on it, and in the mornings it always caused me to have a very bad hangover. If you want to get rid of depression, ask your doc about Welbutrin. It not only helps w/ depression, but also with helping you quit bad habbits such as smoking.
I don't think that Xanax is intended to help with depression. I've always taken it as an anti-anxiety med.
not xanax xr but yes to xanax and yes it does help
