How can you help a Finnish friend who is suffering from manic depression?

She lives in Finland and we just communicate through mail. She doesn't use the computer and so communicating with her is a little harder.Sometimes she doesn't answer my mails but I still write her.She began having this illness when her husband left her for another woman.

go and visit her
Finland is a beautiful country Source(s): http://sensitive-psychoworld.blogspot.co...
The only thing I would suggest is to keep trying to talk to her. Depression is such a hard thing to see a friend go through but from experience all you can do is just be there for her. But if there are any signs of her hurting herself you should report it to family or some one else close to her.
Keep writing to her all the time. Encourage her to make local friends and have routines to take care of herself. I have bipolar disorder and it helps me a lot to have little habits like laying out my clothes so I don't have to make decisions in the morning if I'm depressed and I don't burst out of the house naked when I'm manic. Encourage her to continue getting professional help.
i think that government covers their health care? shouldn't All governments?
