What are some things that i can do to get out of depression?? |
What are some things that i can do to get out of depression?? - Exercise every day - Spend 30 minutes a day in the fresh air - Sleep no more than 8 hours a day - Get up and go to bed at the same time every day - Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables - Talk to people who understand - Socialise and meet people - Do 1 nice thing for yourself a day - Write lists of 'Goals' for the day - Don't be too hard on yourself - Make sure you wash and dress each day - Keep a diary of things that help or hinder - Avoid alcohol or other drugs You should also consider talking to your Doctor, who can advise you on other 'coping tips'. Therapy and Medication are also options available to you, and your Doctor will be able to talk your through the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision on what is right for you. think positive thoughts, don't think about the negative things. Negative thinking just makes things worse, for me when something went bad I kept telling myself it will get better and didn't think negatively, talk to your doctor, seek psychiatric help..do things that make you happy, find something to do like playing an instrument or read books, exercise, etc. go do something that makes you happy! Exercise, eat very healthy, drink a lot of water, and avoid things that have been causing anxiety I dont know about serious depression, but when I'm feeling down I like to put on fun upbeat music and dance around like an idiot. Or basically do anything kinda silly, like go to the store in clothes that don't match. basically anything that makes me laugh, even if its at myself , helps. Well! I literally throw myself in the shower, pick up my best outfit, wear perfume and make up, eat ice cream (its good for the soul) turn on my favorite music real loud, then go for walks, breath some fresh air, smell flowers, then get into my car, roll down the window, turn on the radio, and drive around, then go to the mall, pamper myself with a gift, eat my favorite Chinese food in the food court, say to myself "I deserve it" and "Life is Good" Just try it, it works, feels great, keep practicing and you won't need no medication, actually its all in our head, and we alone can help ourselves theres nothing anyone can do about it. I would also suggest buy yourself an audio CD by Don Miguel Ruiz, listen to his "Four Agreements" and then tell me, how you feel. Good luck Find out what is causing depression. How deep it has set in. If you are feeling helpless and you are getting suicidal thoughts then please see a doc. immediately. If the depression is not very severe then try to get at the root cause. Think how you can change the course of your life. Do something which motivates you. |
