Does anyone out there with migraines have any success with meds for anxiety/depression. SSRI's problematic?

Wife has had severe migraines since an auto accident 5 years ago. The thing that worked the best and she tried it all, was maxalt.
I tried one once had a bad headache and it made me feel wierd.
I have never had a migraine so I dont know what is worse, she swears by them though.
She takes wellbutrin for depression but it does not seem to work, they are going to switch her to soemthing else.
Good luck to ya
