Can I claim disablity, even though I do avon at home?I have manic depression? |
I don't make much money through the sales. Sometimes, I have my days when things seem overwhelming, trying to keep up with business. If your manic depression is so bad that you can't work, then yes, you can. You'll need a psychiatrist to do an evaluation, though. If your depression is so bad you can't work, you probably need to be hospitalized. I know it seems overwhelming, but I'm pretty sure you can still do something- like someone said before me, you can be a greeter at walmart. If people with Alzheimer's and people with MS and terminal cancer can work, so can you. Unless its a serious problem, a little self-discipline goes a long way. Its like having a cold- you're sick. Try this. Acknowledge your problem to yourself. Ie "I've got depression, and that's why I want to sit on my couch and eat cookies all day instead of going out. Its a chemical imbalance in my brain, and I need to fight that." After all, what do you do when your getting over a cold? Stay in bed until you feel 100%, or go out anyway? If you force yourself to be happy and act normally instead of brooding and feeling miserable, you will feel better over time. The nerves in your brain 'get used to' forming bonds with one another to make you experience a certain emotion. Over time, the pathway that spells 'happiness', or 'depressed', becomes more defined and permanent, so its actually physically easier for you to feel that emotion then any other. The body takes the easiest way of doing something, so when it produces emotion, the most defined pathway is what you'll experience. If you force yourself to feel something else, over time, that pathway will become the more defined one. Think of it like building muscle. Lifting something heavy is hard at first, but as you straighten that muscle, it becomes easier, because your body is getting used to it. yes, i think you can still make a little money and claim SSI sure you can but be sure you are disable........manic depression isnt really being disabled, i'm sure you can still do something, if its only standing in front of walmart being a greeter inquire with disability or social security. Yes you can and should apply for disability....... The amount of money that you can make from Avon is not very much unless you put your whole life in it Im on a pension, i work part time, the pension people know i work and they deduct money depending on how much i earn yes but it will depend on your doctor. give social security loads of information.
