Has anyone heard of a carbohydrate intolerance that causes excessive fatigue, body sores, and depression?

My mother has been unable to eat carbohydrates for over 20 years. She has had every test imaginable and they can't find a cause. She gets sores and infection comming out on her legs and body within days of eating carbs. Any help given would be appreciated.

Why would she eat them if she knows this is going to cause the problem described? There are a lot of illnesses that doctors have not identified or understand yet, and this may be one of them.
Carbohydrate intolerance is an inability to digest certain carbohydrates due to a lack of one or more intestinal enzymes. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal distention, and flatulence. Diagnosis is clinical and by H2 breath test. Treatment is removal of the causative disaccharide from the diet.
