What treatment is there for a migraine, nonstop for 6 yrs, that leads to panic atks, memory loss & depression? |
neck injuries and nerve and muscle damage to left side incurred from car accident(s) with repeat injuries to neck. chronic fatique and fybromyalgia ar issues as well. has led to being disabled. Ask your dr. There are migraine meds & chronic pain relievers available by prescription. I used to suffer from bad migranes I had acupuncture every few months and it worked a treat! Has your doctor considered migraine prevention (e.g. Inderal)? Some say biofeedback helps (but never tried it myself). Sorry to hear about all your ailments -- one day at a time! Try to get out as much as possible and know you aren't alone. See a neurologist. With all your other injuries and conditions, ask if Topamax (which is prophylatic against migraine) is appropriate for you. Also ask about Zomig (zolmytriptan) for once you have a headache. These two drugs have made my life worth living again. Best of luck to you. OH WOW!!!!!!!! sorry this must be so terribly painful for you. yes their should be something out their for you. i hope you can get somthing. god bless you. I thought my migraines got bad, I am sorry for your pain. They way I deal with my migraines is at the first sign/symptom. I take 800 mg of Motrin, at first sign. I have tried the prescription meds, but they often make my stomach queasy. My migraines consist of the norm: peripheral vision loss- both eyes( sucks, because I can't drive), sensitivity to light, heaviness in head and body, agitation, and sometimes extremity loss of feeling( hand has gone numb on several occasions-thank god that's rare). But your case seems to be a lot more severe than mine, so i am unsure if the Motrin trick will work for you, you probably have already tried it. good luck |
