I just started to take lamictal, How long do it takes to work, how long before I get a relief of depression? taking medication for depression is not like taking advil for a headache...might take a couple of weeks for the full effect..hang in there Most anti-depressants usually take a couple of weeks for it to reach therapeutic level. Just give it a little time. Most people who take LAMICTAL tolerate it well. Some medications can take a few days to start and relieve your system assuming that your body won't reject it. if you are not feeling a difference within 7-10 days talk to your Dr. Take Care Sweetie!!!!!!!!!! Look at the information that came with it. Also, you can look the pill up onlne and see what it says. But for the most I think the depression meds take about 2 weeks or so? because it's getting a good blood level? Please do a look up on this to make sure It will take a week or two... but in the mean while you better get involve in some activities. like sports or just a hobby... I cured my depression without medication and just by becoming active in my hobby. Sometimes you get depressed becuase you are bored most of the time or have nothing to look forward to. http://www.agentsofvalue.com/ I thought that Lamictal was for epilepsy seizures. I looked it up. It is. There is nothing in the drug profile about taking it for depression. Perhaps you should call your doctor and talk with him... especially if you are not epileptic!! |
