After u go off of anti depressions how long do it take for it to completely leave ur system? It depends on the anti depressant. Some can stay in your system for weeks, some will be out in days. For example, Prozac has a very long half life so it will stay in your system longer than zoloft. The general rule of thumb is 5 half lifes and it will be completely out of your system. Prozac longest (it would be out of your system in 16 days), celexa and lexapro are the shorter half lives (8 days). Zoloft is in the middle. Not sure on the stats for anti-depressants. Hear about it for regular drugs and this can be a week or more depending on how long you have been on it and how much liquid you take. The more liquid the faster because this helps flush our your system. couple of months It takes 3-6 weeks for them to get into your system completely, I suppose the same for getting them out. Please consult a doctor before doing this. You can mess yourself up really bad by weaning off these by yourself. after a lot of work and meds ,and doctors..... it takes time still it depends on the person def consult with your doctor...
