I have been dx'ed with anx/depression. I have recently gotten a pain to obsess over.?

The pain is in my sternum (brest bone) and just a bit to the left, upper meaty breast area. I have not pulled anything. I am ultra lazy, (due mostly to meds, and getting used to them) so there is no exertion, pulling of muscles, nothing like that. My breathing is normal, as is my bp. The only thing up is my anxiety. My doc is on vaca, so there is no one for me to talk to. I am fine as long as I lay still. Any ideas? Is there a doctor in the house? plz help me. I have taken a xanax for this already and am ready to sleep if my head will leave me alone.

My heart goes out to you. I used to be depressed and suffer great anxiety. I have accepted Jesus as my savior and have allowed Him to make the changes in my life as He saw fit. Well, I guess there was alot to fix and He's still not done.

My guess is you hate yourself and wish to escape the pain and memories. You gotta' deal with them head on or they will own you for the rest of your life. Pills will never cure you. There's only One person who can! However, continue to take the meds as prescribed until your relationship with God has developed and you're free from your hangups and fears.

You seem to be falling victim to your past. You will continue to fall victim to it as long as you obsess over it. Free yourself from those who have hurt you by forgiving them and stop blaming yourself for everything that goes wrong. Sometimes, people make mistakes not to hurt you, but because they don't know any better.

The chest pain might be a subluxation in your spine. Talk to a good chiropractor and get it taken care of. You might just find you have another issue 'back' there as well.
I am not a doctor but a patient with similar probs....I suffer with severe acid reflux possibly made worse by my meds but its a common symptom of anxiety.....I take gaviscon which has been prescribed for me & helps with the symptoms however if the pain gets to bad you need to seek expert help, either from another Doctor or at hospital
I have read the other posts here & whilst some people may think religion is not for them I would advise anyone to have an open mind, sometimes having a faith & having hope can be more important than any medicine man can make.
