I take 3 medications daily for depression, narcolepsy, and fibromyalgia. They are Celexa, Provigil,? |
and Cymbalta. They are helping. My problem is that I am always feeing very overheated and I sweat a lot...this never used to be a problem for me. When everyone else is feeing comfortable, I am sweating buckets.. On hot, humid days like today, I have to stay inside where it is cool or I am more than just miserable, I feel physically ill. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found anything that helps? Thanks for any advice that you can give me. Sweating is a pretty common side-effect for antidepressants. Also, you are mixing a lot of drugs and they could be interacting badly with each other. Write down which drug you started taking 1st and then see if you were prescribed another drug to counter those side effects (and on and on). For example, could your antidepressant have caused the symptoms of narcolepsy and fibromyalgia? They are really bad about giving you some weird symptoms -- especially when a change in dosage occurs. Drug cocktails are pretty crazy because basically you are taking additional drugs to counter the side effects of the first drug. That's just not good for you! These drugs are not tested *together* so until someone actually dies from a reaction of the wrong combination the info on what you can't mix doesn't get reported. Definitely ask your pharmacist and another doctor whether you should be mixing them at all.
