What is the difference between manic depression and bi-polar?

What is the difference between manic depression and bi-polar?

There are no differences. It used to be referred to as Manic depression but is now referred to as bi-polar. They are the same conditions.
They are the same, Bi-polar is just the 'updated' name of manic depression.
Nothing, same mental disorder, just renamed.
hun they are the same mental illness being in the manic stage is that you are very hyper and and cant stop etc. and when you are in the deprissive stage that you can not get out of it ie: crying non stop thinking that you are not loved etc.it just used to be called bio-polar the manic part got introduced into the mental health system like in 1995 ie: its the same thing but with manic thrown into the eqasion
