Can girls get a sort of post pardum depression after stopping taking birth control?

My girlfriend broke up with me over petty little things after she stopped taking her pill, two weeks exactly. I think her hormones may be out of whack but I'm not sure. We were always happy before then and this came very suddenly and unexpected. Any answers on this?

Could be... Also could be she was hiding her feelings about what was bothering her, and then she just left... People can just not let you know what is wrong and then get really resentful. It doesn't sound fair to you if you didn't know what happened, or that she didn't explain... I've made a decision lately that if I haven't told someone what is bothering me (this is with people I know, not strangers), then I can't get mad at them. Either way, she's gone now, sorry :(.
Yes, any hormone change can cause emotional change, but if she broke up with you she may also be going through other stuff. If you are worried about her, have her see her doctor.
Yes, the change in hormones can make her mood swing, but it might be a good idea to keep the supposition to yourself if you get the chance to speak with her again. Guessing on a woman's time of the month or anything connected with her reproductive processes is never appreciated.
Just once I would like to ask a man doing something stupid or acting angrily, "Is your testosterone up today or something?" and see how he likes it.
Umm Post Partum Depression iS POST PARTUM meaning after having a baby.
It could yes be hormonal or maybe she is Regularly depressed.
But did you think that maybe it isnt cause of the pills she was just sick of petty stuff.
Or if she stopped taking her pills 2 weeks ago maybe she is pregnant..
