Could changing depression medication to a generic variation have an affect after 3 weeks?

Brand name and Generic drugs should have the same effect as long as they have the same components and dosage(s).

If you are changing to a generic version of the same drug... you shouldn't experience a change in the effect of the drug.

If you are switching drugs alltogether, it may take a few weeks to get stabalized.
Not at all if it is has the same medication's chemical components.
