Depression---getting pretty bad? |
i don't know what to do. what are you supposed to do when you are so depressed you just want to lie in bed and do nothing? what are you supposed to do when you are so depressed you want to kill yourself, but you know it's morally wrong and you would never do it? what are you supposed to do when your body is just so tired...tired of living...tired of doing...tired of crying? i currently take medication and have been taking medication for some time. even though i'm on a high dosage (higher made me really dizzy), the depression still comes through. i see a psychiatrist once in a while for meds checks and i regularly see a social worker. i'm just tired of being...tired of living...tired of getting up in the morning, taking showers, doing laundry, making food, watching tv, feeding my dog.....i'm so much at a dead end and there's nothing i can do about it. i can't funcation anymore and i don't know what to do. Hi I know how you feel. I get suicidal and don't do it because of the morality issue. You should be really proud of yourself for hanging in even though you have difficulities. Maybe your medication needs to be changed, you might not be on the right one. And maybe you can get one that will help you though the social anxiety or some counselling to help you through that. Remember that you aren't alone, a lot of other people have the similar issues. You might be at a low point now, but you will feel better and when you do it will have worth working through things. Try making some little improvement every day in your life, even if it is just one little goal that you reach. That will make you feel good about yourself and as you grow stronger you might want to accomplish more. If you can work on being less reclusive that will probably help you feel better also, maybe try taking one small step at a time. Good luck with it, and keep trying, you will see results! ask your doctor to give you some zoloft pills. If you are 18 or over, call 9-1-1 NOW. Under 18? Please tell parent, grandparent, teacher, priest. Tell anyone. I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like you should go to your doctor and maybe some new meds might help? Sounds like those arent working. Do you exercise? That always puts me in a better mood. I don't sleep much, that makes me depressed usually. I understand what your saying thou, sometimes it just seems like your going thru the motions and theres no fun. I say get out of the house and do things, see people, exercise and maybe that will help, maybe go on a vacation to a place you really like. Hope things get better for you. DONT TAKE THE MED's what ever you do. as soon as you start you can stop because the depression gets worse. Plus there bad for your liver... Every body goes through this stage in their lives! its ok. (from experience*a friends* dont go to the doc. that gives you medication. thats all they do and it doesnt help.) Ok so, the first thing your gonna do is stop sitting and get up. YOU are going to think of the people important to you in your life. you are gonna call them and set up something to go some where. pamper yourself to make you feel good about YOU! Then you are gonna find something to do. **vollenteer at places. **go the the amusment park with a friend of bf 9if you have one) **get a cute hair cut! **go for a pedicure w/ a friend **get a massage (feels really good) w/ a friend **go to the guy w/ a new friend *******Take cold showers in the morning and wash your face to wake your self up************ I know EXACTLY how you feel. I finally went to the doctor 3 weeks ago and got on some medication. He has me on Effexor XR 75 mg's and they seem to be helping alot. I'm not spending as much time in bed, and I don't over eat like I was. (comfort food) I've already lost 6 pounds and I'm starting to feel like myself again. Please ask your doctor to switch your meds, there are a wide variety of anti depressants available. Good luck to you. you need to keep letting your doctors and counselors know that your still feeling all of theses symptoms, and talk with others who are having the same problems,so you can form a bond and get better |
