How do you deal with teenage depression?

How do you deal with teenage depression?

do a lot of sports involving team work... the interaction can be very healthy to your mind... if you are not into it try to practice some demanding sports like running (preparing the marathon is really something) or swimming...

there a lot of choices not to get depressed. my personal favorite is helping the needed... somehow people with tangible needs will put things under a new perspective.
Call a mental health facility and make an appt.
do things that make you happy your too young to deal with pressure and stress good luck if you ever need a friend to talk to im here =]
Teenage? Yours is limited to teen years? Lucky--must be nice!
its tough, but you need to see a specialist. Sometimes parents or friends just can't understand what your going through. If your parents or whoever wont help you find one, see a doctor. Tell them your depressed and having a really hard time. And remember-sometimes medications is needed-and ITS NOT A BAD THING-don't hurt yourself or anything, hope you get better, good luck
Honey, if it's bad (if you've felt this way for more than 2 weeks), it could be a chemical imbalance. There are medications that can make you feel 100 times better. Talk to your parents and tell them you want to see a doctor. They'll give you a questionaire to answer to see if it's actually clinical depression that can be treated with meds. Good luck. And don't wait. You could be feeling better in a matter of days with some of the newer drugs, and they have no side effects. (Lexapro, for example, starts working within a few days.)
